VERBAL TENSES (TIEMPOS VERBALES).
SIMPLE PRESENT (PRESENTE SIMPLE)
El presente se usa para hablar de acciones habituales, ocasionalmente puede tener sentido de futuro.
· Afirmativo
I work
You work
He / she / it works
We work
You work
They work
He/she/it:
1. Sólo la tercera persona del singular (he/she/it) es diferente de las demás, ya que
se le añade “-s”.
2. Existen verbos a los cuales se añade “-es” en lugar de “-s”:
- do / does; go / goes
- verbos que terminan en:
-s pass / passes
-ch watch / watches
-sh wash / washes
-x mix / mixes
-z buzz / buzzes
I do not work / I don´t work
You do not work / You don´t work
He -she -it does not work / He -she -it doesn´t work
We do not work / We don´t work
You do not work / You don´t work
They do not work / They don´t work
· Interrogativo
La forma interrogativa usa el verbo auxiliar To Do. La respuesta suele ser breve usando la contracción:
Do I work? R: Yes, I do / No, I don´t
Do you work? R: Yes, you do / No, you don´t
Does he / she / it work? R: Yes, he / she / it does. / No, he / she / it doesn´t

Welcome!
The Purpose of this Site
My
goal on this web site is to provide all the necessary information for students at U.E. Virgen del Valle, so they can
interact with me productively to set up English homeworks and tests, following up different activities, and to find my writings, readings, oral exercises and upcoming events. Moreover, I want to invite pupils, parents, colleagues and school authorities to respond collaboratively in
research, to help me.
Please send comments or suggestions for improving this website to acalixto20@gmail.com.
My
personal goals include helping people to change their paradigms about education (specially self-education) furthering new knowledges and capacities and
providing English activities more in line not only with the traditional venezuelan culture, but also with the TICS*. I believe that using the new technology in this day-to-day world is extremely important, to find ways for helping each other and to grow and
change.
As an educator, I have experienced several ways to teach and at this point of my life and my career, I can attest that we -teachers- must focus our objectives in the learner. I am excited about committment to the new ways for learning and I am very much enjoying this new venue. I welcome all of you to this site, as a hope to contribute opening new horizons.
